Rebounding at Wellergize

Rebounding (jumping on a mini-trampoline) is an effective and efficient way to get employees active and healthy.

We brought a rebounder into the new office space to get staff active and healthy. It's a great way to relax and refresh employees!

A rebounder is a mini-trampoline about 3 feet in diameter (and 9 inches high). We think it's perfect for our workplace because it's safe, easy to use, and beneficial to employee health. It doesn't require a lot of training, so it's also efficient. Besides, it's fun and it doesn't feel like exercise.

In general, a rebounder is an affordable investment that offers an array of health benefits for businesses. It can help reduce absenteeism due to sick days and other chronic diseases, decrease presenteeism by providing an energizing break during the work day, while encouraging employees to engage in physical activity.

One of the major health benefits of rebounding is for the body's lymphatic system. A healthy lymphatic system is vital because it carries nutrients to and waste products away from every cell in our bodies. Physical activity helps the lymphatic system become more efficient.

Essentially, when we are not engaged in physical activity our cells are sitting in their own waste products - plus they are not receiving nutrients. It's a combination that contributes to the onset of various diseases and aging.

Rebounding also aids in detoxification and boosting the immune system. Jumping on a rebounder stimulates all our internal organs, moves the cerebral-spinal fluid, and is beneficial for the intestines. Many immune system cells like T-lymphocytes and macrophages are self-propelled by amoebic action, thereby strengthening our immune systems.

They also provide employees with energy when they are tired or stressed.

You could almost say they "bounce right back".
