NEDIC Launches Campaign Against Media Images

Media images and eating disorders.
NEDIC is launching a provocative, targeted awareness campaign encouraging clothing labels, fashion magazine editors and advertising agencies to pledge their intent to cast models who project a diversity of body shapes.

If you don`t believe that beauty is synonymous with ultra-thinness, now is your chance to send a message to those  who do.

It`s all part of a new campaign by NEDIC that takes aim at the fashion and marketing industries, the over-arching message being:  Cast responsibly. Retouch minimally.

By signing the petition, you`ll help make some noise with the aim of creating much-needed discussion and - better yet - change.

More information and images from the campaign—created by Toronto-based agency Zulu Alpha Kilo—are viewable at: nedic.ca/pledge

A Facebook-based social media campaign is also underway, encouraging members of the public to sign a petition for action. The petition is available at nedic.ca/pledge
